Back To The Roots (BTTR)

Merhaba vwz is organising a mega street party called 'Back To The Roots (BTTR)' on Saturday, May 20th, from 12:00 to 21:00 at The Crazy Circle Bar (Rue du Prince Royal 11, 1050 Ixelles). BTTR is a heartfelt tribute to the origins of Pride, with the goal of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can celebrate and be celebrated, particularly those who may not feel fully represented in larger LGBTQIA+ events.

This celebration is organised in partnership with 'The Crazy Circle,' 'Queef,' and 'Chosen Family.' There will be a wide range of performances, including music, queer and drag performances, live DJ sets, guest speakers, and delicious food and drinks! Admission is free for this event.

Merhaba is also seeking volunteers who can assist with the following:

• Setting up and taking down the installations (set-up between 9:30 and 12:30 and taking down between 21:30 and 22:30).
• Being a social bee during the event, at a time that suits you between 13:00 and 21:30. As a social bee, your role will be to be a welcoming face for those who may feel a bit lost or insecure at the event, whether they are alone or simply in need of someone to talk to.
• Assisting at The Crazy Circle bar during the event
