Roshaniya LGBT

Roshaniya is a registered non-profit organisation in the US, which is dedicated to helping LGBTQIA+ Afghans to escape state-sanctioned violence by relocating them to a safer place.

Roshaniya is the largest LGBTQIA+ Afghan network dedicated to serving Afghanistan’s LGBTQIA+ communities. They provide humanitarian relief and psychosocial support and provide training and tools toLGBTQIA+ Afghan Human Rights Defenders so they may carry out their work.However, Roshaniya main focus is to get the international community to provide long-term resettlement options (such as humanitarian visas) for LGBTQIA+Afghans.

Their goals are as follows:

• Help LGTBQIA+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics to live freely
• Provide practical care support for emergencies of LGBTQIA+ Afghans in danger of displacement and left in limbo in countries neighbouring Afghanistan
