Safe Place International is present in 7 countries - Mexico, Guatemala, Turkey, Greece, South Africa, Uganda, and Kenya. Safe Place International supports the protection, stabilisation and self-actualization of LGBTQIA+ and single mother asylum seekers and refugees, by providing basic needs, funding, employment and leadership training, and opportunities, while advocating for their human rights. Over 400 LGBTQIA+ refugees are currently housed by Safe Place International between its 33 supported shelters.
